Addressing the party office-bearers here on Monday, former chief minister said onus is on party workers to instill confidence among minority communities about the party’s welfare projects. He further said the party has better prospects to come to power in the next election as both Congress and JD(S) are dealing with infighting among their members. He said, the BJP could have won in the recent Legislative Council election (South Graduate Constituency) if it had secured 600 votes in the first round of counting in preferential votes. However, voting percentage in Mysuru was registered at only 39 per cent while Chamarajanagar and Hassan witnessed 55 per cent votes. It’s time for the party workers to work hard to ensure that the party gets majority in the next election.
