Submitted by Kumuda on Fri, 2016-06-24 18:24 Bengaluru: After three months of chasing, the Mangaluru CCB police have finally taken Naresh Shenoy – prime accused in RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga's murder – into custody. However, the police have not confirmed it yet. RTI activist Baliga was brutally hacked to death on March 21 near Besant College and the police have - so far - arrested six persons with regard to the murder. However, Naresh Shenoy was on the run since three months. In fact the police had filed a 770-page chargeshet against seven accused to the Third JMFC court on Thursday. On earlier occasions, the court had rejected anticipatory bail to accused Naresh Shenoy. There have been rumours that Naresh surrendered before the police however, the police have refused to confirm. Meanwhile, police commissioner M Chandra Shekhar did not confirm the news.
