Thirteen labourers crushed to death in lorry-auto collission near Molakalmuru
They were working in a brick kiln, it is learnt
Molakalmur: Eleven persons who eked out a living in a brick kiln died when the passenger auto in which they were travelling was knocked down by a speeding lorry at Rampura in Molakalmur taluk in Chitradurga district on Saturday.
It is said that the lorry driver lost control over the wheels after the tyres burst and collided head on with the passenger auto.
No identification of the dead has been made so far and three children and women were among the dead. Five persons have been admitted to VIMS Hospital in Ballary. Their condition is said to be critical, reports Prajavani. It is learnt that the deceased were from Shahpur in Yadgir district.
