Former DySP denies role in Meti scandal; to file case against CM and 8 others

Submitted by Kumuda on Thu, 2017-02-09 14:40 Ballari: After reports surfaced that former DySP Anupama Shenoy was quizzed in HY Meti sex CD scandal, the former police officer made an attempt to come clean on the allegation.At a press conference here on Thursday, Anupama claimed that she had nothing to do with Meti case.An emotional Anupama stated that although she had resigned from her service, she had appealed to the state government not to accept her resignation. However, this was later turned down by the government.Anupama claimed that she had documents to prove that then minister Parameshwar Naik was bribed by liquor lobby (Rs 42 lakh) to ensure her transfer. Though she was not in service now, her fight against injustice in Koodligi will continue, said the former police officer."I have decided to file an independent complaint against the conspiracy behind my transfer in Koodligi court."She further stated that she had written to the Governor and Speaker (Jan 2016) to lodge a complaint against chief minister Siddaramaiah, former minister Parameshwar Naik, home minister G Parameshwar, Srinivas Achari (returning officer), Om Prakash (retd DG) Murugan (Ballari IG) and R Chethan (Ballari SP). "I had complained against liquor lobby in Koodligi and those who worked for my transfer to ACB. But till now, no action has been initiated against them," said Anupama."I had given two resignations. Let there be an inquiry into it," she claimed.
