Submitted by Editor on Mon, 2017-01-30 17:08 Hubli: In the wake of rumours that former Congress leader SM Krishna was set to join JD(S), JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda has categorically stated that the party has not extended invitation to Krishna. Hence, he would not be joining the party, he said.Gowda was speaking at the 'Papu - 98' a thanksgiving programme organised in Hubli on Monday. "Krishna is a veteran politician. He must have thought about his next move before resigning from the party. He is a seasoned politician and is capable of deciding his future," said Gowda, reports Prajavani.When mediapersons questioned Gowda about veiled efforts to bring Krishna to the party, Gowda categorically ruled out any such developments. "Nothing of that nature has happened. Moreover, we have not extended invitation to him. Hence, he will not join JD(S)," Gowda stated.On party's stand on Mahadayi water tussle, Gowda said JD(S) will take the issue seriously. "If need be, we would protest before prime minister's office," he said.
