Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday – on sexual assault cases in Bengaluru – she felt that girls who roam around the city late nights provoke perverts, hence rise in rape cases. In the name of New Year celebrations, it is insulting to see women embracing freedom to party till late into night. One must show some restraint, she added. Unless women clad themselves fully, such cases cannot be prevented, she observed. She also said that the college and universities should strictly implement dress code. "Women should be equally be blamed with society for rape cases," she remarked. She blamed film and television mediums for encouraging women to be liberal.
