Submitted by Kumuda on Thu, 2016-12-08 14:40 Bengaluru: In a rarest and touching tribute to Siddaganga math seer Shivakumara swami, 109 artists have worked on 109 paintings that capture the various moods of 109-year-old seer. ‘Kuncha Torana’, a compilation of paintings will be released on December 10 at Uddaneshwara community hall at the Siddaganga math premises. In fact, it was BG Avati, president of Karnataka State Art Teachers' Association who came up with an idea. He discussed the project with various art teachers' associations that readily agreed. At a four-day special camp – organised from March 14 to March 17 at the math premises – 109 artistes worked day and night to present a beautiful tribute to the seer. The book has been brought out by Colours Groups. It will be released by Chitradurga math seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharana where Siddalinga seer will preside over. Noted artist BKS Verma will be present. A seminar on art teachers has also been organsied from December 10 to 11.
