The report has also attached DNA report which has confirmed the same, it is learnt. It may be recalled here that the hotelier's alleged murder came to light after his mother filed a missing complaint with the police. The police took his wife Rajeshwari Shetty and son Navneet shetty to custody, who allegedly killed Shetty and burnt his body in a homa kunda with the help of a priest Niranjan Bhat. Later, they had disposed of the ashes in a rivulet in Pali village. While the police have not been able to recover the body, they had obtained forensic samples from the homa kunda and the rivulet.Meanwhile, the police have also arrested Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra on charges of destroying evidence. There have been allegations that the local police were lenient towards the accused and they were being accorded 'royal treatment' in the custody. Following this, the government handed over the case to CID on August 16.CID SP Martin and investigation officer DySP Chandrashekhar filed the chargesheet.
