"However, Kumaraswamy and his family members have been encroaching the land rather systematically at Kethaganahalli near Bidadi hobli in Ramanagar district." He also blamed Kumaraswamy's relative and Maddu legislator DC Thammanna of taking over the land meant for the poor.He also alleged that JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda should have acted upon it when he was the minister during Ramakrishna Hegde government, but he too kept quiet indirectly encouraging his son and family members to encroach the land. The encroachment has been going on since 1987 but successive governments have done nothing, he pointed out. He further claimed that it was CM Lingappa who wrote a detailed letter to then chief minister Ramakrishna Hegde on unabashed encroachment of land by Kumaraswamy and his kin. "But the governments have turned a blind eye over this," he said.He dared Siddaramaiah governemnt to recover such a vast of land without wasting time and distribute it among the genuine beneficiaries of Adi Karnataka community.
