More than 400 female directors, CEOs from 24 women-run cooperative banks, and 266 city cooperative banks are likely to participate in the seminar which is being conducted to discuss role of women in co-operative banking. As part of the event, a procession will be also be taken out from Nityotsava convention hall at 9.30am. Karnataka Police Academy Mysuru Deputy Director Dr Dharanidevi Malagatti will flagging off the rally while writer Dr Geetha Mahadevaprasad will inaugurate the seminar. Former additional manager BA Mahadevappa, cooperative association, will deliver a talk on 'Women empowerment, participation and role in the cooperative banking sectors' at11.15am while University of Mysore professor Dr BK Thulasimala will speak on 'Women role in the development of cooperative banks and benefits' at 12.30pm.
