Submitted by Kumuda on Wed, 2016-07-06 12:20 Mysuru: In view of failure to arrest K Marigowda, who intimidated Deputy Commissioner C Shikha, various organisations staged a protest condemning police’s inaction in Mysuru on Tuesday. They demanded his immediate arrest. Members of Kannada Janapara Shakthi Vedike also decried State Women Commission Chairperson Manjula Manasa for not initiating any action against Marigowda, who is said to be close to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. They wondered, if police cannot provide security to deputy commissioner, how will they protect the public? Marigowda interfered in deputy commissioner’s works and how could that be tolerated, they asked. Vedike members were joined by Aradhana Seva Samsthe activists who handed over memorandum to police commissioner seeking arrest of Marigowda at the earliest.
