They seldom find restaurants that serve their authentic, ethnic food. They neither have access to the delicacies that they have grown up on nor live on spicy South Indian food. Unless they know anyone from their region, they have to wait till they visit their home next time. But now, they may just have to click and order through FoodYez app that is defined by authentic and ethnic food from North Eastern states. This start-up catering exclusively to the people from land of seven sisters is the brain child of Reisang Risom (31). A software professional, Risom launched the service with two other co-founders Yarthing Risom (25) and Kazip Lungleng (22) who were working as techies at an MNC in Chennai. Speaking to Bfirst.in, Reisang said, "The food service will go online from next week. There are over 30 food items on the menu and soon we will bring in ready-to-eat items as it will help many college-goers and professionals. The menu on the app boasts of fermented and dried bamboo shoots, sliced pork pickle, diced pork pickle, carabeef pickle, dry beef pickle, fermented dry fish, red, white and black sticky rice grown specially in Nagaland and Manipur and the list of mouth-watering delicacies is endless. What more, these products are available at reasonable rates, insists Reisang. The app is available on Google Playstore. Gradually, Reisang wants to reach out to more people and spread the taste of North East food culture.
