Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2017-01-20 17:36 Kalaburagi: BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa has categorically stated that the BJP executive committee meeting scheduled to be held here from January 21 and 22 will not discuss issues surrounding Rayanna Brigade. Addressing mediapersons here on Friday, Yeddyurappa admitted that there has been difference of opinion among leaders in the party and many are giving contradictory statements. "I had convened a meeting on January 19 to iron out these issues. But many did not turn up. I will take up these issues again," he added. When reporters questioned him over party high command's silence on Rayanna Brigade, Yeddyurappa reiterated that national leaders are observing developments related to Rayanna Brigade and they will take appropriate action at the right time "Please do not ask more question on this," he said. The executive committee meeting will discuss the state government's failure in tackling drought, law and order and also about strengthening the party. He further said that veteran leader V Srinivas PRasad who joined the Saffron party will contest by-elections from Nanjangud.
