Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Siddaramaiah said he was deeply saddened by Prasad's sudden demise. Prasad was one of his closest associates. "He was always calm and never spoke to anyone in anger. He did not had any enemies in politics. He was a simple and honest leader," remembered Siddaramaiah.Chief Minister has declared three-day mourning in the state.Former minister and veteran Congress leader H Vishwnath recalled his association with the late minister. "I knew him since he was very young. He was a shadow of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from the Janta Dal days. He grew to be an efficient and influential leader. Being the Chamarajanagr district in-charge minister, he had strived to develop the district, including MM Hills. He was 58. The minister was supposed to attend an event. His supporters grew suspicious when the minister did not open the door for two hours, despite knocking. Concerned, the supporters broken open the door and found the minister sleeping on the bed.
