CD wins, Meti loses. Excise minister resigns after his sex tape came out in public

The minister has been accused of seeking sexual favours from a woman who had approached the minister for a transfer. The minister misbehaved with the victim allegedly at his office.  With no option, the minister has now tendered his resignation to Siddaramaiah at his home office, Krishna. Later, speaking to mediapersons, Meti claimed that he resigned on his own to save Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government from embarrassment. However, he refused to speak about the CD and demanded an inquiry. It may be recalled here that the minister had earlier dared the RTI activist, Rajashekhar Mulali to release the CD, if he had. It is reported that Siddaramaiah gave a royal dressing down to the minister in front of the many secretariat staff.
