Submitted by Rashmi on Tue, 2016-10-18 18:54 Bengaluru: There is a sense of fear among RSS workers and Sangh Parivar members since the Congress government has come to power in the state. Hence, RSS workers should be allowed to possess weapons, suggested MLA Suresh Kumar. "At least, we can make our own safety," he added. Suresh Kumar was addressing a protest meeting organised to condemn the murder of RSS worker, R Rudresh, on Sunday. MP Shobha Karandlaje expressed her shock over the recent cases of Sangh Parivar members who were murdered in similar fashion in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and in Karnataka. "There is an organised network behind this," she suspected. The police haven’t arrested culprits behind Prashant Poojary's murder yet. Since Siddaramaiah goverment has come to power, there is no safety for people, she decried. At this, MLA R Ashok stated that police are trying to give it a personal angle to Rudresh's murder. This is misleading, he added. Police Commissioner NS Megharik met the protesters and received a memoranda from the protesters. He told the mediapersons that alrady five teams have been formed and soon, arrests will be made. Due to the protest, the bustling Shivajinagar wore a deserted look. The protesters forced the commercial establishments to down the shutters causing a heavy loss to the business community. In view of the agitation, the bus service was suspended in Shivajinagar. This left the passengers, especially students and senior citizens in lurch. Meanwhile, the BJP has decided to hold protest in Bengaluru and other district headquarters on Wednesday.
