Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2016-05-20 20:13 New Delhi: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Friday sent an alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) operativeAbdul Wahid Siddibapa, who is said to be a cousin of IM's chief Yasin Bhatkal, to seven-day police custody. Siddibapa, a resident of Bhatkal in Karnataka, was arrested by the agency after his arrival from Dubai at the Indira Gandhi International Airport earlier this morning. He was arrested following a Red Corner Notice issued against him. As per reports, Abdul is wanted in a case pertaining to a conspiracy by IM to attack various places in India. He is said to have left for Dubai much before the crackdown on the IM had started in 2008. Siddibapa also allegedly funded the IM activities from Dubai. (ANI)
