Indian women beat Pakistan to lift Junior Asian Throwball championship

Submitted by Rashmi on Fri, 2016-12-30 18:36 New Delhi: Indian women's throwball team beat Pakistan team in straight sets 2-0 to lift the junior Asian Throwball championship trophy at Selangar, Malaysia.  During its league match, Indian team defeated Pakistan with 25-8 in first round and 25-9 in the second round. Buoyed by the success, the Indian women's team continued their winning streak and crushed Pakistan team in the final match in straight set. Yashmita M Meanwhile, Kasargod has erupted in joy as one of the members in the team - Yashmitha M - is from Kasargod. She is the student of Agalpadi Shri Annapurneshwari School. Yashmitha's father M Subbanna Naika works as a dailywage labourer and her mother Sumathi is a homemaker. Shashikanth Ballal is her coach.  Yuva Brigade, Kasargod district unit, Kasargod Deputy Commissioner Jeevan Babu, Kerala Throwball Association general secretary KM Ballal has congratulated the team.
