At a meeting held this month in Brasanda, near Sagara, Shivamogga district, members debating over appointment an administrator were reportedly threatened by the pontiff's disciples and followers, with one member, Dr TT Hegde, a senior citizen and philanthropist, even being assaulted. "The supporters had seer's blessings when they attacked the community members," the members alleged."Assaulting people is a new-found weapon of the seer and his followers to silence those talk about the alleged rape charges," said the members.
