IIFT's model hunt in city attracts hundreds

The Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), one of the country's top most fashion institutes, introduced the model hunt with the objective of identifying the fresh new face of Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: Hundreds of wannabe models participated at Bengaluru's biggest talent show - Model Hunt 2017 on Monday. The Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), one of the country's top most fashion institutes, introduced the model hunt with the objective of identifying the fresh new face of Bengaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, Viji R, principal, IITF, said they decided to launch the model hunt as there was a "dire need to introduce fresh faces in the modelling industry". "There are a number of aspiring models in our city but they don't know the route to take. So, we decided to organise the IIFT Female Model Hunt 2017. The turnout for the event was such that it already became Bengaluru’s biggest beauty pageant. Around 26 models have been shortlisted in the model hunt."

She said the IIFT supported models and organised media coverage for their booming careers, helping them in fulfilling their dreams in the modelling industry.
