Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and home minister G Parameshwar said there was no truth in the BJP allegations. “For, MLC Govindaraju himself has denied about the diary that was allegedly found to be in his house and also the handwriting in the diary. When he himself is denying, what proof BJP has to claim that the diary belonged to Govindaraju,” Parameshwar sought to know. “Also, we want to ask how did they get to know the details of the IT raid. Details of IT raid are kept confidential. But the BJP government in the centre seem to be controlling the IT department,” Parameshwar said adding that till now IT department has not disclosed whether they had found the diary from Govindaraju’s residence. “Responsibility is on the BJP to prove how they got the details,” he reiterated. Till then, they can argue and Congress can counter-argue, he said. Meanwhile, BJP workers staged a protest in the city demanding resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his colleagues, whose names have been mentioned allegedly in the abbreviated home in the diary. It is learnt that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has closeted himself in his home office ‘Krishna’ and has refused to meet the party leaders, who called on him on Friday.
