Over 1,500 policemen will be deputed at Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground on Cubbon Road, where the ceremonial parade will be held on Thursday.Police Commissioner Praveen Sood said around 1,500 policemen would be deputed under the supervision of nine DCPs, 16 ACPs, 48 inspectors, 101 sub inspectors and 13 woman sub inspectors. "Besides, platoons of KSRP and CAR, Garuda Commando Force will be stationed at the venue. To monitor the situation, around 50 security cameras have been installed,” he said.Security has also been stepped up at sensitive places in the city. “We have installed 150 security cameras at various locations to keep tab on suspicious persons. As many as 9,472 policemen will be deployed for security across the city,” Sood added.As a precautionary step, flying of all unmanned aerial objects including drones, balloons, have been prohibited within the jurisdiction of Bengaluru City Police Commissionerate. Prohibitory orders will be in effect from Tuesday till Thursday.
