Notice to organisers for spreading false rumours over cancellation of DJ David Guetta’s concert

French DJ was scheduled to perform in the city today

Bengaluru: Seemanth Kumar Singh, IGP (central range) said he will issue notice to Sunburn - the organisers of DJ David Guetta concert - for creating confusion over cancellation of French DJ David Guetta’s concert, scheduled in the city for Thursday night.

The organizers had canclled the event citing security reasons blaming the city police. But the police officer said that the permission for security was denied as they had provide security to the APMC elections scheduled on the same day.

However, the organizers had stated that the authorities have recommended against holding the David Guetta concert following the unfortunate events during the New Year’s Eve.

Rubbishing this, Seemant Kumar Singh said that they had asked the organizers to reschedule the event since the police security cannot be provided on Thursday owing to elections to the APMC. But the organisers are blaming it on the police for cancelling the event by spreading false rumours.

"We are contemplating to take action against the organisers for spreading false rumours," he added.
