We tried to stop the fire from spreading, but due to the wind the fire spread and entire bus got burnt. I alerted my seniors who rushed to the spot and another bus was arranged from Channapatna," said Sudarshan. The BML school at Jalahalli cross had arranged the trip for classes 5 to 10. Six buses were hired to carry as many as 300 students who joined the trip."We have summoned officials from Ashok Leyland, the manufacturer of the bus. Technicians have been asked to give a report by Tuesday. It looks like the fire has been caused by a short circuit," said Jai Prakash, Chief Vigilance Officer, BMTC.
