The deadline for the stretch is April 2017.The BMRCL said it would begin trial runs on the stretch from Nov 20. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Director, BMRCL, said, "There will be 8 stations on this stretch - National College, Lalbagh, Southend Circle, Jayanagar, Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road, Banashankari, JP Nagar and Yelchanahalli.”"The construction of the elevated structure between National College and Yelchenahalli was completed in 2011-12 but due to delay in completing the underground tunnel works, the BMRCL could not start trial runs," said Kairola.Apart from this, the BMRCL will also begin trail runs on the stretch between KR Market and Sampige Road very soon."If all goes well, about 6 lakhs people will benefit, which means many four- and two-wheelers will be off the roads," said a senior engineer.
