Submitted by Editor on Thu, 2016-11-03 20:31 Bengaluru: Frustrated over the indifference of senior leaders towards the growth of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the state, Ravi Krishna Reddy, co-convener of the party in the state, called it quits on Thursday.In his resignation letter, which was circulated to media houses, Ravi Krishna said he gave his best shot in spite of several difficulties. “Unfortunately, my efforts to sort out certain issues that were detrimental to the party's growth in Karnataka did not go anywhere even after I brought it to National Committee's attention,” the letter stated.Ravi Krishna lamented that no observer from the party had visited Karnataka in nine months. “This shows the "seriousness" of the party towards the state unit’s significance,” the letter said.He also claimed that in the last one year Rs1 crore had been spent towards party building activities, but it hadn’t helped the party gain any foothold in the state. “AAP has become increasingly irrelevant in the state under the current leadership,” the letter said.
