Submitted by alvin on Fri, 2016-10-07 12:54 Bengaluru: Property owners, engineers and architects involved in any project henceforth, will be booked under criminal charges if they cause any damage to public lives by violating building bylaws. A circular in this regard was issued on Thursday after an under-construction building collapsed on Wednesday near Bellandur gate. The onus of ensuring safety and abiding by the building bylaws is on property owners, architects and engineers. The circular has also released the names of registered architects and structural engineers whose services can be availed by property owners. The list of names has been put up on www.bbmp.gov.in. Unless the property is complied with the rules, the BBMP will not issue commencement and occupancy certificate.
