Submitted by alvin on Wed, 2016-10-05 16:13 Bengaluru: At least 10 workers are believed to be trapped after a five-storeyed under-construction building – where they were working – collapsed near Bellandur Gate, Bannerghatta road on Wednesday.The fire and emergency services have rushed to the spot and managed to rescue four workers. They are being given first aid. According to sources, Ashok (40), a security guard from Odisha has died. Search is still on for the remaining workers. According to sources, the building was being constructed by Srinivas Reddy to run paying guest accomodation. A BBMP official from Mahadevapura said Reddy had permission to build only two floors but his violation of building bylaws has caused the damage. The Palike is now contemplating to initiate action against him.
