Cauvery row: Govt transfers two DCPs for law and order failure

Submitted by Editor on Thu, 2016-09-15 00:04 Bengaluru: Unhappy at the way the police department handled the Cauvery protests, the state government transferred several DCPs on Wednesday.TR Suresh, DCP North Division, was transferred as SP CID (Cyber wing). Labhu Ram, SP, Anti- Corruption Bureau, will take over as DCP with immediate effect. Two miscreants had died in police firing in the North division.Similarly, Ajay Hilori, DCP (West division) has been transferred with immediate effect as DOC, CAR Headquarters, Bengaluru.  Hilori’s place will be taken by Anucheth MN, who was till now serving as SP of Chitradurga. Arun Ranga Rajan, SP, Kolar Gold Fields, will take charge as SP of Chitradurga.
