Submitted by Editor on Fri, 2016-08-19 18:17 Bengaluru: ABVP members tried to barge into Amnesty International's office in Indiranagar on Friday, following which the police had to resort to mild lathicharge in which a few were injured. Over 100 ABVP members gathered at the Amnesty office demanding ban on the NGO which has been booked for sedition for hosting an event where allegedly anti-national slogans were shouted. When members tried to lock the office, heated arguments ensued and protestors crossed the barricaded area. ABVP members said the protest would continue till the office was shutdown. A woman activist Veena collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Amnesty management had earlier asked the staff to work from home.
