Palike Revenue Department officials along with Mahadevapura area enginers threatened to dump garbage as the firm had failed to pay Rs 43 crore. However, an embarassed Intel India asked the officials to wait for sometime and obtained a stay order from the court. Accordingly, the firm has got a relief till August 28 from the court. The company has been paying tax voluntarily for the past few years. However, when reviewed the documents revealed otherwise. The firm had Rs 43 crore dues."By August 28, if the company fails to pay at least half the tax amount to BBMP, stringent action will be taken. And the same message is sent to all the tax defaulters," said Mallikarjun, Deputy Commissioner, Revenue Department, BBMP.It may be recalled that BBMP had raided tax defaulter Manyata Tech Park in Yelhanka zone, and had seized its movable properties for non payment of tax amount of Rs 274 crore.
