Speaking to the media after his thumping victory, Appaji Gowda said he would work more for the Vokkaliga community. "Earlier, Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha was limited to Bengaluru. However, I and my team have ensured that the Sangha activities are spread across the state especially at Mandya, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Hassan and Ramanagar. We have series of projects lined up like constructing quarters for doctors and nurses. We are also constructing a first grade college at Srigandhada Kaval. We are also constructing a 300-bed hospital at Banashankari under the name of Kengal Hanumantaiah," he said.Gowda also rubbished allegations against him. "All the allegations are baseless.
