Khandya is a Vishwa Hindu Parishat leader and as many as 32 different cases are pending against him.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Thursday, told Legislative Assembly that Khandya is one of the five suspects in the kidnapping case. He further said that it is not proper to draw comparisons between DySPs Kallappa and MK Ganapathy’s suicide. The CID is already investigating the case and the government will not shield anyone, he added. When Opposition leaders asked what compensation would the government extend to Kallappa’s family, CM Siddaramaiah promised to explore the possibilities of providing a job to deceased officer’s wife on compassionate grounds.
