The animal was found in a village named Anjipura within Omkar range vicinity. Though the reason for death is not known, officials suspect it to be a case of poisoning. However, it is yet to be confirmed. Senior forest officials have rushed to the spot. It could be recalled that Bfirst.in had reported about increasing number of black panthers in Nagarhole and Bandipur thanks to cameral traps installed by the forest department.
