Son of botanist Keshava Bhat murdered in Venezuela

Submitted by alvin on Sun, 2016-06-26 10:39 Mangaluru: Pallathadka Kumara Prasad, the only son of botanist and naturalist Dr Pallathadka Keshava Bhat, was murdered in Venezuela on Friday. Family sources said that Prasad, who was running an Ayurveda company along with foreign partners, was hacked him to death due to business rivalry. After obtaining his engineering degree, held worked with well-known MNCs around the world. Later, he travelled extensively around the world and conducted workshops on nutrition in Venezuela, Chile, USA, India, Germany, and Spain. Ten years ago, Prasad’s father, Dr P Keshav Bhat, had warned ex-president, the late Hugo Chavez that he may develop cancer. Keshav Bhat had popularised the use of herbal and natural medicine in Venezuela, treated many important officials of the oil-rich country for cancer, curing one of its leading politicians of the dreaded disease.
