BM Rohini, who taught Anupama, said Anupama had been "hurt" over an "unwanted incident" that had taken place in Kudligi. "Soon she will come out and speak to the media about the incident,” said Rohini adding that Anupama "was upset with the department and the system". "She is fighting against corruption," Rohini added. BM Rohini Anupama, who hails from Udupi district, had spent her childhood in Kulshekar and studied at Sacred heart school under the guidance of BM Rohini. Later she did her higher studies, including MSW, at St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru.
