Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-06-06 18:59 Mangaluru:  Mangaluru police arrested and later released slain activist Vinayak Baliga’s sisters, Prof Narendra Nayak, Muneer Katipalla and Nithin K who were agitating in front of MLA JR Lobo’s residence here on Monday. They were protesting under the banner of Deshapremi Sanghatanegala Okkoota demanding immediate arrest of prime accused Naresh Shenoy in RTI activist Vinayak Baliga’s murder.The protesters shouted slogans against and MLA Lobo for failing to bring the guilty to the book. The prime accused, Shenoy – founder of NaMo brigade – has been absconding since March 21. Yet, the police have failed to nab him, the protesters said. “We will continue our agitation until the main accused is arrested,” said the protesters.Vinayak Baliga was murdered on March 21. In this connection, police have taken five people into custody and the investigation is still on.
