Attempt to stab Padil home stay accused thwarted

Submitted by alvin on Sat, 2016-06-04 14:54 Mangaluru: Padil Home Stay attack accused Subhash Padil narrowly escaped an attack by one Japan Manga alias Raja at the court premises here on Saturday. Subhash was in the court to attend hearing on the home stay attack case.According to president of Mangaluru Bar Council, SP Chengappa, “The incident occurred after Subhash came out of the court hall. Japan Manga who was also in the court rushed in and tried to stab Subhash. However, alert lawyers and his friends overpowered Japan Manga and handed over him to the police present there.”Subhash Padil is a prime accused in home stay attack occurred in July 2012 at Padil, Mangaluru. Japan Manga is said to be an accused in a murder case.M Chandra Sekhar, Mangaluru city police commissioner told Bfirst, “Japan Manga had accompanied his friend Manoj – also accused in home stay attack – to the court. After they came out of the hall, Japan Manga first brandished a knife to Subhash threatening to attack him. However, he was overpowerd by Subhash and his friends, who threw stones and chairs at him. Soon, police intervened and arrested Japan Manga bringing situation under control.”Mangaluru North Police have taken Japan Manga into custody and are investigating.Watch Video:
