Addressing a gathering at the inauguration of Media Centre of Vartha Bharati newspaper here on Saturday, Khader – apparently irked over the bandh called by Sangh Parivar against Kerala Chief Minsiter's visit to the city – said opposing a democratically elected public representative is akin to disrespecting the Constitution. Moreover, the Constitution believes in ‘Athithi Devobhava' and protesting against the guest who is visiting home is certainly not our culture. "These people claim to be the torchbearers of our culture. But this is not our culture," Khader said adding those disrespecting the Constitution should be hit with chappals. Khader's outburst has caused a quite ripple and social media users are feeding over it all over.
