The camp was conducted by SCIO Foundation Group of Manipal along with the Department of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Optometry, School of Allied Health Sciences and the Diabetic Foot Clinic. The services provided in the camp included fall screening tests, lifestyle diseases screening, blood sugar testing, BMI check, blood pressure, diabetes and eye tests. A separate optometry section was kept to test only children. SCIO Benevolent Foundation is an NGO registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as a Section-25 company. The foundation has three sections: Vidya, Veda and Vaidya. The Vaidya division revolves around organising medical camps for the underprivileged.
