M’luru police’s new display vehicle to create awareness on crime prevention

Mangaluru: A digital display vehicle, a first in the state, was flagged off by District in-charge minister Ramnath Rai at police commissioner's office on Friday.

"This is first digital display vehicle in the state. The vehicle will move around the city to create awareness among public about the crime prevention,” said Rai, who also released a brochure on crime prevention.

Speaking on the occasion, Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar said the vehicle would move around for the next two months to create awareness among public about crime prevention. “We have witnessed several cases where people fall into trap of fraudsters for minor reasons such as fake calls. This vehicle will move around the city to convey message on how to be alert,” he said.
