Tipu Jayanti will be celebrated on November 10.VHP regional oranising secretary Gopal said the right wing members would not mind to lay down their lives to prevent the state government from celebrating Tipu Jayanti. He was speaking at the valedictory of Southern zone convention of Bajrang Dal, here on Sunday. VHP joint secretary Surendra Kumar Jain wondered how the state government could dedicate a day to commemorate Tipu when “he carried out atrocities against Hindus and Christians.” He suggested the chief minister to stop pleasing a community by celebrating Tipu Jayanti. He felt that “for the sake of votes, Siddaramaiah is appeasing a community which might cause unrest in the state.”
