Submitted by alvin on Sat, 2016-09-03 09:49 Udupi: In a touching gesture, Ravi Katpadi of Ravi Friends Balaga handed over Rs4.12-lk, raised during the Ashtami festival by donning special costumes, to needy parents for medical treatment of their kids. The money was handed over at a programme held at Katpadi SVS Educational Institute on Thursday. Priyanka Mary Francis, Udupi Zilla Panchayat chief executive, who was present on the occasion, lauded the efforts of Ravi Katpadi and Ravi Friends Balaga. The beneficiaries of Ravi Katpadi’s humanitarian gesture were three-and-a-half-year-old Grishmitha, a resident of Katbelthur, three-year-old Mirza Maiza Fathima, a resident of Udyavar, four-year-old Krithik, a resident of Shankerpura, and three-year-old Greeshma, a resident of Moodusagri. Ravi Katpadi’s mother, Daiyi, was also felicitated on the occasion.
