On Thursday, the veteran leader lambasted the CM again for his handling of MK Ganapathi's suicide and advised him to resign if he truly loved the party. “Being an advocate himself, CM Siddaramaiah should know what a First Information Report is. Any person will not lie before he dies,” said Poojary, adding that in he found CM’s actions baffling considering Ganapathi had named three people – George, Mohanty, and Prasad - and wanted the three to be held responsible if anything bad were to happen to him. “Why does the CM not want an FIR filed against K J George and the two officers? Why is the CM protecting the three? Why is he not considering the dying declaration of Ganapathi? Why is he targeting Ganapathi’s wife? Why is the CM trying to become a saviour to K J George?” asked Poojary. Poojary also said that Ganapathi’s wife was being harassed. “Ganapathi’s wife Pavana was in Madikeri but her statement was not taken by the government. The investigating officers have taken the statement of Ganapathi’s father and brother. The CM is defending K J George, Mohanty and Prasad,” he alleged and said that the high command would drop Siddaramaiah if he did not resign. He further said that the media had started an SMS poll asking whether people trust the Congress or not. “According to the polls, 99f the people in the state do not believe in the Congress government. People of the state hate you and in the next elections, you will get the results,” he added.
