Ganapathi's suicide: BJP members demand action against KJ George

Submitted by Rashmi on Tue, 2016-07-12 19:13 Mangaluru: BJP activists on Tuesday protested in front of Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner's office in the city demanding the arrest of those behind the suicide of DySP MK Ganapathi. The protestors, including DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, demanded chief minister Siddaramiah to take action against KJ George, who was one of the three people named by Ganapathi before he hung himself.  Addressing protesters at the entrance gate of the DC office, Rahim Uchil, a minority morcha leader of the BJP, said it was unfortunate that an honest officer had ended his life in uniform.  "The incident shows that police too are not safe in the state under the Congress government. Then what about common man?” Uchil asked. He warned the Congress that the BJP would intensify its stir if the government tried to protect George and the officers against whom Ganapathi had made allegations.
