Employees of Falcon Tyres meet Sait, seek govt intervention

Submitted by alvin on Thu, 2016-06-30 19:37 Mysuru:  Employees of loss-making Falcon Tyres, which has stopped functioning for a year now, met Education Minister Tanveer Sait to ask for his intervention in the matter to resolve the stalemate between the employer and the employees. Sait, a member of high level committee formed to resolve issues between the company and the employees, met a delegation comprising over a hundred employees at government guest house on Thursday. “The government has failed to ensure justice for the employees in accordance with assurance given during meeting held at Vidhana Soudha on March 5 under the chairmanship of R V Deshapande, where former revenue minister V Srinivas Prasad, former labor minister P T Parameshwar Naik, MLA G T Devegowda, MLA Vasu and others were present," said Devaraj D V, president, Falcon Tyres Employees Union.
