Submitted by Editor on Sat, 2016-06-11 21:17 Mysuru: Ten thousand people are expected to participate at the yoga event at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in Mysuru being organised as part of International Yoga Day celebrating on June 21. Students, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, medical, nursing college students, staff, and general public are expected to take part in the public demonstration which will be held between 6.30am and 7.30am as per the Union government's directive. District Administration, Jawaharlal Nehru Youth Centre and Ayush Department jointly organising the International Yoga Day celebration. The Ayush department is also conducting yoga camps in fifteen villages. Doctors deputed from Ayush dispensaries and students of Ayush will be demonstrate postures and explain the benefits of Yoga at the camp scheduled to be held from June 10 to June 20. “In a materialistic world, where people are stressed out, yoga can calm the mind. Mysuru is also attracting yoga practitioners across the globe, which in turn will help tourism industry as well, said Hariganesh, District Ayush officer.
