Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2017-03-06 19:49 Wildlife photographer Ashwin Ramaswamy Bengaluru: A techie, a wildlife photographer and three others were arrested by the City Crime Branch for trying to sell tiger and black panther mounted trophies. The accused have been identified as wildlife photographer Ashwin Ramaswamy, 39, KV Arun Kumar, 52, Jagadish, 41, and 46-year-old Rajeshekar. The CCB team lead by DCP Kushelandra Kumar arrested the accused on Monday morning when they were returning from Mysuru to Bengaluru. The police seized three tiger and one black panther trophies from the accused. "The tiger and black panther skins are shaped like trophies. The price of these seized items is said to be worth Rs2 crores," said a senior officer. Additional Commissioner of Police S Ravi, said, "We will further probe to determine links in interstate wildlife trade." The police also seized two vehicles from the accused.
