Submitted by alvin on Wed, 2016-06-08 13:14 Bengaluru: Is Anupama Shenoy, deputy superintendent of police, Kudligi who has been causing quite a flutter through her facebook updates – post her resignation –receiving death threats? It appears to be true, if one goes by her latest update. Her newest update says, “Threatening to kill me if I release the CD? Will haunt you as ghost”. Anupama has been hinting at “some revelation” with hashtag #Parameshipremaprasanga bhaga 1 which she claims to possess against Bellary district in-charge minister PT Parameshwar Naik. Last night, she even went on to say that the “CD is suitable to watch in the night” raising speculations about the content of the CD. While her “hint” has sent the government into tizzy, she has remained inaccessible. However, claiming to be receiving death threats for her Facebook posts calls for serious consideration. Meanwhile, the government has jumped into damage control mode by asking the senior authorities to meet Anupama and counsel her to withdraw her resignation. While Anupama has not been answering to any of the messages on FB – although she is active – she thanked one of her colleagues – D Roopa, IPS – who advised her to swim against the tide. Anupama said that “Thank you, Roopa Madam. I believe women alone in this department have guts. Being women in this department, we have suffered the same pain. But as officers we are different – you are an IPS officer, I’m, a poor KSPS”. This updated post clearly indicates towards harassment women officers face in the department. Even Anupama’s brother Achyuth Shenoy too had mentioned that Anupama was harassed in the department and disgusted over this, she tendered here resignation. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reiterated that Anupama is still the DySP of Kudligi and government want her to resume her office. “We will not take any hurried decision. However, if she continues to wage a war against the government, the government will be forced to take disciplinary action against her,” said Siddaramaiah. Chief Minister took objection to her FB updates which said #Brihannale #Rumrajya about the government.
