She has been attacked all over her body, said eye witnesses. She has been rushed to a private hospital by her parents Ramu and Jayalakshmi for first aid. Later, she was referred to KIMS hospital. It can be recalled here that a two-and-half-year-old girl was attacked by five stray dogs at Cambridge Layout last week. With badly injured left eye, the girl had to undergo a surgery at Victoria hospital.According to residents at Anjana Nagar, even after complaining, the BBMP officials have failed to visit the spot. But Dr Mahadeshwara Gowda, joint director Animal Husbandry, BBMP, denied the allegations. “Assistant director and I visited the spot at 12 noon. The area is on the outskirts of Bengaluru. We have initiated intensive animal birth control programme in the area. So far, almost 60 per cent of the stray dogs have been neutered,” he said.Dr Gowda further said that he visited the hospital to enquire about the child’s health and promised to provide a compensation to the victim besides bearing the medical expenses.
